Enables digitization of home appliance repair requests and log checks
TOKYO - April 22, 2019 – Assurant Japan Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo, President: Junichi Fujimoto) today announced that Assurant will enable the digitization of repair requests and log checks for au HOME "Trouble Support" home appliance extended protection service with the latest version of the au HOME app launched by KDDI Corporation (Head Office: Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo; President, Representative Director: Makoto Takahashi; hereinafter referred to as "KDDI"), based on its business partnership with KDDI.
Assurant has been providing the au HOME "Trouble Support" home appliance extended protection service that KDDI launched in December 2018.
au HOME "Trouble Support" offers a one-stop home appliance extended protection service covering 12 major home appliances such as cooking stoves and water heaters.
The latest version of the au HOME app integrates with a digital platform for claims management, provided by Assurant, to greatly improve user convenience. Assurant also offers a call center service for customers who require the support of an operator.
Using the au HOME app, customers do not have to send documents by mail; all they have to do is upload all the necessary information and photos into the mobile app. In addition, users can check the repair status and the past repair logs on the mobile app at any time.
