Experienced Leaders to Drive Global Strategic Growth Initiatives
NEW YORK – May 31, 2018 – Assurant, Inc. (NYSE:AIZ), a premier global provider of risk management solutions, today announced new leaders for its global automotive business, following the close of its acquisition of The Warranty Group. The newly named leadership team draws on the deep automotive bench of the two organizations to deliver the best and most experienced individuals to drive growth and serve clients and customers across the world.
Effective immediately, John Laudenslager becomes president of Assurant Global Automotive. Formerly president of Assurant’s global Vehicle Protection Services operations, Laudenslager has been in the automotive business for more than 30 years, holding a variety of senior positions in automotive retail with large dealer groups and other companies, as well as in the insurance-related automotive industry.
“As part of our strategy to create a leading global provider of vehicle protection products and services, we’ve assembled a leadership team that has significant experience across the automotive sector,” said Keith Demmings, president of Assurant’s global lifestyle business unit. “With John at the helm of our global automotive business, this team will leverage our collective expertise in risk management, product innovation, operations, client services and program optimization to best support our clients and their customers.”
“I’m looking forward to leading this talented team, which brings together the best of both organizations,” said John Laudenslager. “The collective experience of this team will provide continuity and additional value and benefits to our clients, while also driving innovation in the vehicle protection industry,” added Laudenslager.
In addition, Assurant announces the appointment of other key automotive executives:
Charlie Robinson, president, Assurant Resource Automotive, will continue to lead the team serving the U.S. dealership and agent distribution channels, as he previously led at The Warranty Group. Robinson brings more than 40 years of experience in the finance and insurance segments of the automobile dealer industry.
